Volunteer
Construction Schedules
Crews of
10-14 people are scheduled for Saturdays. Work crews must sign up with
the office for a work day. Individuals may come to the site without
signing up. The work that is planned is normally posted on Wednesdays
on the Habitat Calendar.
Workdays
are also open for individuals or crews on Tuesdays and
Thursdays.
Construction
Professionals
Can you
volunteer professional services for one house? Once a year? More?
Habitat needs licensed plumbers and electricians, mechanical
contractors and other skilled professionals.
Lunches
Lunches
are needed for Saturday workers throughout the year. This involves
providing food for about 25 people and bringing it to the site at about
11:30 on Saturday. Call the office to sign up.
Minors
on the site
There
are rules (imposed by OSHA and by our insurance) about what minors can
do on a construction site. All worksite volunteers must be at least 16
years of age to work on the site. Waivers for 16 and 17 year olds must
be signed by parent or guardian before they come to the site. All
waivers are available below.
Construction Waivers
Waiver forms must be
completed by all volunteers on the work site.
Minors must have the form signed by parent or guardian before coming to
the site.
