Habitat for Humanity believes that no one lives in dignity until everyone can live in dignity. When the broad community is engaged in addressing the urgent need for adequate, affordable shelter, we all become less vulnerable and more resilient.
Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build affordable housing, to repair existing homes in critical care and to focus on achieving stable housing for every person in our community.
Building a home with Habitat for Humanity is a partnership. We work together to build a home you can enjoy for years to come.
Habitat makes a mortgage loan to the homeowners, but we’re not a typical mortgage lender. Our home loans are interest-free, and our homeowners pay a mortgage based on their family income.
We offer home repair services to homeowners so they can continue to live in safe, decent homes for years to come.
Aging in Place is Lawrence Habitat's program focused on providing home repairs specifically for senior homeowners to help them remain in their homes safely and independently.
